Hey hey ... it's friday!!!
And next week ... I'M ON LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's like the first time in years, absolutely years that i am taking leave. Usually it it FOR something. Be it a funural or something along those lines. And then it involves travel, which i enjoy, but it's always driving more than resting, so after the leave, i'm finished.
I'm going to be home. Doing nothing that i don't want to. The kids are at my parents house for a week or two ... man i cannot wait.
I have a lot to do though. Banks, bike license, home repairs, more home repairs, garden maintenance, car maintenance, sorting MY STUFF. I dig it.
I'm standing on the edge of an unknown abyss, well earned R&R, ands to be honest it kinda scares me. The last time i was home without mandate was between jobs, about 2 years ago. But being jobless and home is different from being fully employed on leave, and home.
While i recognise that wifey WILL wake me up in the morning, and probably make me open the gate or something similar, i'll go back to bed, and sleep more. No traffic ... *dreamy sigh* and a week that i don't have to be in bed by 9, like i have lately. PLAY GAMES ALL NIGHT WOOOOHOOO!!!!!
OK ... i'll calm down.
I discovered 2 very good sites, in very different directions.
http://bringontherevolution.blogspot.com/ ... well what could i say ... very well researched and enlightening.
www.b3ta.com ... people have WAY too much time on their hands .....
Maybe i'll drop something more in later, but i thnk i'm going to have a no-inet-access week. No news, no anything ... and my cell phone will probably be off too ... if anyone breaches my defences, i'll run away and join a circus.
No, um, ok, i'm in a circus, i mean, ok.
Diplomacy is the art of knowing when to shut up.

Newsworthy-ish
2 items caught my attention in the news today. 1 about mugabe and the other about public indecency.
Lots of people are hoping that mugabe is going to announce his retirement this year. This is as per the SABC radio news, lead story this morning. Now there is just a whole lot in that story that i take great exception to. For a start, it's not news. Nothing happened. Some people are speculating and hoping for something as unlikely as the toothfairy going commercial.
Millions of people are sitting in dire poverty, waiting for this animal to ANNOUNCE his retirement. There is no will of the people, no best for the most going on there. All there is is a seriously sick man, a bunch of cowards around him, and our own dear leaders and all their adoration. The glaringly obvious fact, is that this is what mbeki holds as his ideal, with so much spin doctoring and wordplay coming out of the anc conference about the succession. I can't keep up with their arbitrary and hair splitting descriptions of their perception of how the world might look if only we closed our eyes and listened harder.
You hear what i'm typing? Really ... the world has more scope for assasination. Make some down side to standing up and mouthing off with no actual result other than a burgeoning bank account.
As an aside, despite the police denunciations etc, vigilantism is alive and well in south africa. WE THE PEOPLE. In the cape they're doing it right, going to the drug sellers houses.
The police are not our friends. They are the friends of the politicians, who are CERTAINLY not anyone's friend but their own.
Which brings me to the next story, in the JHB Metro paper. A couple were arrested for public indencency near Dobsonville. They were naked in a car and having sex. It was approximately midnight, they were parked (it seems) sufficiently out of the way to be ... unobvious, or discrete maybe.
So the police came along, arrested them, charged them, court case to follow.
Now here is the kicker ... the police said that they discourage people from having sex in their cars as it opens them up to violent crime (paraphrased). ummmmmm .... and harassment by the police it seems, which is remarkably similar to violent crime.
Please understand, i don't know the couple, or their scenario. I guess they should be inside somewhere, but at the same time they know that too. If they were there, they had no where else to go. And anyone anywhere getting sex is good, when consensual of course. They were not being a problem in any way. So now "for their own protection" (?) they are arrested and charged. Fuck that!!!
I have the dubious honour of having been arrested for exactly the same thing - public indecency.
With my wife. We weren't naked, were not in the car, and not having sex. However, it took a van with 6 policemen approximately 4 hours to arrest us, charge us, etc. They intimidated us, lied to their own superiors, did not follow due process, threatened my wife, lied to us, and generally fucked up our day rather solidly. Court on monday morning, the case was thrown out.
We're MARRIED, had kids at home with a babysitter and were literally just getting out for a while. They charged me with rape and wifey with prostitution, and told us we were lying that we're married.
This is not justice. This is neither protecting nor serving. My heart goes out to those 2 lovers. May the universe compensate them, since i know that they both were badly treated, for no reason at all.
Loud and proud .... FUCK THE PIGS (police ... i like real pigs)

Our place, our time
My thanks to Dionysius Stoned for bringing this to my attention. I hope it's ok to just copy this in entirety, but i believe important for this speech to be seen and heard by as many as it can reach.
Made by John Holloway at the anti G8 fesival in Rostok.
Our place. This is our place. Not theirs, ours. Ours is a space without borders, without definitions. They have their own place, over there, behind the metal barriers, the barbed wire, surrounded by thousands of police. That is where the mass murderers belong, in the prison that we have created for them. The political leaders of the world move only when they are surrounded by police and bodyguards, behind high walls, protected by guns and helicopters. They cannot move freely because they are afraid of us.
Our time. This is our time. Not theirs, ours. A time of intensity, a time of passion, a time of dreams, a time of breaking time. A time in which we refuse all continuity, a time for making the world anew. We shall dance to dawn and beyond if we want. Their time is the time of the clock that ticks the seconds of death, the time of continuity that says “obey today, obey tomorrow”. Their time is the timetable of their plan to destroy humanity.
Our music, our dance. This is our music, our dance. Not theirs, ours. They have no music, the only music they know is the music they turn up loud to drown the screams of the people they are torturing in Guantanamo and in prison camps throughout the world. The only dance they know is the march of their soldiers who are trampling over the world.
Our place, our time, our music, our dance. We are the centre of the world.
It is important to remember that. Especially in these miserable times. Especially when they have launched the Fourth World War against us, the war of all states against all people. Especially when capital is celebrating its orgies. Especially when the violent repression of those who want to create a different world has become the routine practice of all states. They are trying to subordinate us. To make us mindless robots. To make us like them.
They want us to be like them. Imagine, to be like them, stinking bits of inhumanity – the very thought is sickening. That is the very last thing on earth that we want. By every means possible, by brutality, by seduction, by bribery, they try to make us to be like them, to act like them. That is what the real enemy is, not just them but becoming like them. How many revolutions have ended like that in the past, with the revolutionary leaders becoming new rulers! How many revolutionary movements have become bogged down in the violent meaninglessness of one army confronting another, all thoughts of human emancipation long since lost! If we become like them, we have lost.
Asymmetry, then, is the key to our struggle. No symmetry. Above all, no symmetry. Our weapon is that we do not act like them, we do not talk like them, we do not look like them, we are not even comprehensible to them.
Against their walls and barriers we set our space without frontiers. Against their clock our time of intensity and relaxation. Against the noise of their emptiness our music. Against their march our dance.
Against their hierarchy our horizontality. Against their state our assemblies. Against their representative democracy our self-determination. Against their institutions our organising. Against the brutality of their violence, the creativity of a self-defence rooted in popular support. Against their police our clowns (… or?)
Against their self-satisfaction, our rage. Against their death our life. Against their money our dignity. Against their destruction our creativity. Against their labour our doing.
Against their sexual dimorphism our polymorphous perversity. Against their definitions our overflowing. Against their prose our poetry. Against their nouns our verbs. Against their pomposity our laughter. Against their arrogance, our knowledge that they depend on us. Against their permanence our understanding that we make them and if we do not make them tomorrow, they will not exist tomorrow. Against their command our insubordination. Against their control, our world that they cannot control, that they will never be able to control.
Our place, our time, our music, our dance. In this moment we are the centre of the world. Let’s enjoy it!

‘Change the World Without Taking Power’
I've found them!!!!!
HEY EVERYBODY
THEY'RE HERE ... IN SOUTH AFRICA!!!!
I'm sooooooooooooo happy.

Have you ever heard of the The Zabalaza Anarchist Communist Federation (ZACF)? Neither had i. But they're around it seems, and released a statement in reply to the accusation's of "racist anarchists" made made some or other apparatchik.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa .... dear me, i'm tickled.
The ANC .. of marxist socialist communist fame, has dared to call anarchists racists. There is a difference, a HUGE one for those who count these things.
I believe it could be best put by an anarchist as such: "I'm not racist, i hate everybody ... " seriously, it's because of the stupidity displayed in the "racist anarchists" comment that makes anarchists believe as they do.
Make no mistake, anarchists LOVE the new SA government. Robert mugabe must be a hero for them. Single handedly destroying an entire economy, brilliant.
But probably the biggest secret of all, is that anarchists are not stupid, very smart, and in my experience make more logical rational sense than any goddamed politician i've ever spoken with (and yeah i've spoken to a few).
Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, may i present, the The Zabalaza Anarchist Communist Federation

Oh, and a useful start to anarchy *wink* Anarchy, by Wikipedia

post ... post ... post
I try update this blog once a day, but don't seem to get it right. When i get to work first thing in the morning, i have but one thought ... OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE THAT????? ... in reference to JHB's traffic.
It's a daily mindnumbing i can't take anymore.
And if ANYONE mentions that damned national credit act i'm gonna puke, then hit them.
It seems like the universe is loaded against any law abiding citizen. I can't buy a bike for R25000 because the bank won't finance it. Or give me credit. I can't get a learners and financing for a more expensive bike, because i quote "there are no openings .... (for a learners test) .. oh ok, can you tell me when one will be available? No. Call again tomorrow. Another of those fucking systems where they will not answer a simple question before taking your full name, ID number, cell number, work address, home address, etc. Only to return with no, can't help, bye.
Makes me cry. Really. It's catch-22 deluxe, how on earth do we get this way. I'm credit clean, paid off 2 cars before the due date, am up to date on accounts, have NO clothing accounts etc. Bank tells me sorry, we cannot treat you like a valued client, we have to treat you the same as the beggar outside. Then they implement changes to my account which I DID NOT REQUEST. Changed the entire nature of my account.
Fraud anyone?
I try so hard everyday to put a smile on my face, but for crying out loud, i cannot do simple things, for ultimately complex reasons.
I want a bike. Daily fuel costs and commuting time are the 2 major factors. Seems like a good decision right?
Bought a brand new Jonway 125. It broke, repeatedly. They replaced it after legal action. That one broke too. It's now standing in my garage, because i will not venture into JHB traffic on a vehicle that falls apart, repeatedly.
Then i discover that no-one will touch it. I cannot trade it in, i cannot sell it, crap i can't even give it away. The motor cycle fraternity are a bunch of self serving pricks. No one will help, no customer service.
Then a buy a honda 400. Everythying i could find out told me it's a good buy. 4 months down the line, after R4000 repairs at the local maccy, it shits itself completely. It is now standing in benoni somewhere, at the EXPERT. Fucking prat.
Tells me he's NEVER seen one of these in south africa. There are no spares.
He won't return it broken, since that will backfire ON HIM????????
WTF CAN I DO?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Monday .... again
Good morning world
Another week another ... week i guess.
I don't really have much to say, nice weekend, i kinda relaxed. Strange how it's never quite enough, one more day would sooooo do me.
ok, another week perhaps......
Music ... that's about the best i have to offer today. Just some thoughts on how good it is. Music calms the savage beast, is the universal language and has more power thanwe know how to control. Sounds and wave harmonics are a field that is just starting to come into it's own. Understanding how sounds relate to our human bodies, and the various effects they have.

It's all tied together eventually. The strangest thing is, it provides basis for a lot of "old" knowledge, astrology etc, in terms of how the planets resonate, and how it affects us. Now it's common knowledge that we are mostly water, which (a) reacts to the sun / moon and other gravitational effects, and (b) is more sensitive to any kind of vibrations. We are more sensitive than we realise, and it's a great pity that we hide these magnificent bodies in our offices and buildings.
Our bodies and minds react to so much, we couldn't even begin to understand. An old anecdote i read, tells of a man who moved offices within a high rise. From then on, he became sickly, apparently without any obvious cause. Having some knowledge of waves, he began searching for various frequencies that impacted on his office. To his great surprise, he discovered that the aricon unit for the building across the street, was at the same height as his office, and owing to a loose part, was creating a hum, at a frequency that was literally making him ill.
Now it may seem quite otherworldly, but if the buildings around you can make you sick, surely those powerlines behind your garden are not as innocuous as they seem?
High tension power lines create a magnetic field of note (no pun intended) that is powerful enough to confuse your body, even at a cellular level. Cancer is nothing more than your bodies natural reaction to the vast amount of "noise" that inundates it daily. Which is the major reason getting to the beach or mountains is so much more important. In fact, when i go on holiday, the only real question to ask should be: "does it have cell phone reception?" and if the answer is yes, find another place.
We humans are magnificent, marvellous and incredibly stupid too. When will we learn than nature is a balanced system, with failsafes and self-regulating mechanisms everywhere. Those are not always "human-friendly" but hey, survival of the fittest and all that. This concrete jungle of ours is everything-unfriendly, and while i sincerely doubt we'll ever truly destroy earth, we'll certainly destroy the useful (to us) bits soon enough.
Music is the natural way to get round this, by producing tones and sounds that your body accepts as healing and relaxing. Water dripping, crickets chirping, wind rustling, the sea churning ..... these are all sounds which your body resonates to, and in doing so heals itself naturally. Balance.
Unfortunately we are far fonder of a cell phone chat than sitting by running water, something which medicine will tell you is not in our survival interests ...
Medicine will also tell you to call 0800 .. for free medical advice.
You want free medical advice? Throw your fucking cell phone out the window. Hope the window breaks .. that way you'll get some dubiously fresh city air.
PS Did you know that JHB is the biggest man made forest in the world?
PPS Did you know that JHB is the largest inhabited forest in the world?
PPPS I COULD say something about that .... but i also think it's self evident ...

How to hide marijuana and get away with it
June 20 2007 at 02:06AM
By Paul J Weber
Big Sandy - A former narcotics officer once considered among the finest in Texas has authorities huffing and puffing because of his DVDs: They tell people how to hide marijuana and get away with it.
Barry Cooper, a convert to the cause of legalising marijuana, plans to release his second informational DVD this fall - this one on how to keep police from raiding your home for marijuana. Six months ago, he released his first DVD Never Get Busted Again in which the former star of West Texas's Permian Basin Drug Task force gives tips on hiding marijuana (dashboards are rife with nooks and crannies) and throwing off drug-sniffing dogs (coat your tires in fox urine).
"I'm not helping them to break the law. It's clear the law is already being broken," said Cooper, 38, who left law enforcement a decade ago. "I will do anything legal to frustrate law enforcement's efforts to place American citizens in jail for nonviolent drug offences."

Big Sandy - A former narcotics officer once considered among the finest in Texas has authorities huffing and puffing because of his DVDs: They tell people how to hide marijuana and get away with it.

A girl claims to see the Virgin Mary. People flock to her. She tells them to stare at the sun. They go blind.
What about the above series of events makes me so sick to the pit of my stomach.
I don't know the girl, or "her story" too well, but it doesn't matter. She's delusional. Seeing anything in the sun is well .. dodgy at best, and seeing the virgin mary???? Here, have some drugs.
Not that i don't believe in the paranormal, or the bible for that matter, but if you want to get biblical "By their fruits shall you know them" ... her fruits are blind people, who could see fine. There are those that state that anything of this nature are the works of demons, not angels. I tend to agree. Whatever you may think of God, He's usually consistent. Oh crap this irritates me.
I don't doubt she's a nice girl. I also believe she's probably very charismatic. This doesn't change the fact that she is a child, and adults should know better.
Her parents are probably just as simple. If one of my kids becomes "public" i certainly wouldn't stand aside and shrug. This kind of public frenzy cannot end well.

Sex
Gender ... intercourse ... characteristics ... homo ... hetero ... kinky ... wierd
We all have our favourite idea, and favourite manner of sex. Yes, i know you do. Your parents do too ... *shudder* and theirs ... *ugh* and that gorgeous blond secretary down the hall *grin*.
It's been with us from the start, and is as natural as eating or breathing. But sex is more than either of those. While breathing we don't even think about, and food is a multi trillion dollar industry, offering anything your mind can conceive of, sex is don't. Don't talk about it, don't share your preferences, don't tell me what you did last night, ESPECIALLY not who with!
Why this absolute block on anything sexual? At the office, you can go any any website you want to, from gaming to cars to food to really wierd ways to spend your spare time, but do not go to a porn site ... they'll fire you for that.
And what's with this porn thing? It's like showing a room full of hungry people a movie about some lucky folks digging into the biggest fullest buffet ever.
Everybody wants it, everybody does it, everyone thinks of it (every couple of seconds apparently), yet no-one talks about it, and more often than not is NEVER open about it. Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Prostitution is the oldest profession, makes me think of some poor caveman being given the run around by some tarted up cavegirl, confused because well ... i need it, and you're making me run around collecting fucking SHELLS? But it's illegal. Not to mention dirty, BECAUSE it's illegal. Legalize it, bring it into the open. Yes you'll create otyher problems, but turniong your eyes away won't change it, or help in any way.
The you get the whole kinky trip. It's gone now, but once upon a time there was a website called furniture.com. Really ... you have no idea. I got a pretty good imagination ... but FOR FLYING FUCK SAKES?!?!?! Yeah. And you know about those outfits for fancy dress parties and mascots at sporting events, some people get turned on by that ... great big teddy bear, literally.
Not to judge, if they are getting their rocks off good for them!!
But apart form trying to get my blog noticed *wink* it is something that should be more open, should be more discussed, and should certainly be better approached, because at the moment it's not working. Rape is so common some people don't see it as a problem, but as a way of life. I got no issue wwith the govt cutting off some rapists dick, isn't democracy about the best for the most?
We need to control it, but to do that, we need to understand it. Read up, the Kama Sutra is still very relevant, try stuff (with a WILLING partner please) and don't be afraid to go that little bit further in your desire to understand your own body's pleasures.
Sexual fustration is a killer ... go on ... shag someone today!!!

Wheels
Lots to say and do about wheels apparently *grin*
Guess what? We're getting new number plates. Yes. Everyone. New. Lots of money.
Let's recap.
We had to get new drivers licences. Cost a bomb and was later found to be a money making racket for ANC BIGWIGS. (Shaik bros inc made MILLIONS)
Because they're the criminals, millions of fakes flooded the market, and yet WE have to pay every time the government finds it issued you with a fake themselves.
We are now paying R30 per transaction for the new satan system, despite govt having budgeted R400 000 000,00 for it. Yes, lotsa zeros there. Oh PS, they've discoved huge chunks of that money not there, again a BIGWIG is sitting there looking as innocent as he can.
We are milked daily by cameras, metro pigs claiming "it's the law" and "speed kills".
We the sheep accept it.
Now they're saaying we have to get new license plates, so they can essentially manage and control us better. Oh, and we pay for it. We'll pay so fucking much there will be excess, which will of course lie in a bank useless until someone steals it.
People are dying daily on our roads. More people die on the roads than by being murdered, which, for our international friends, is a hell of a lot of people.
The government makes no positive step to cotrol the deaths, other than stating categorically that they are not bound to road laws, have a fucking armada of security, who are allowed to force other drivers of the road in the name of security.
The presidential motorcade was in an accident in Pretoria recently. Apparently they drove into an intersection without bothering to, you know, look left and right ... (?) and drove into some lady.
I hope MR mbeki got whiplash.
This does not bode well. They claim (incorrectly) that this is about fighting crime. The only identifiable rationale is control, not of criminals, but of us, the citizens. Using the road database (yes the dysfunctional one) and state sponsored financial terrorism, they are taking every liberty they can, taking every cent they can, all without any thought for DOING THEIR DAMN JOB, which is making South Africa a safe and rewarding place to live.
I used to enjoy cars ... *VROOM* and all that. Lately i don't like driving. This corner is hijack corner, next corner is metro pigs corner, the next corner again is hijack corner ..... strange how you NEVER find the metro pigs on any known hijack corner. YOU FUCKING SPINELESS BASTARDS. That's why it takes three metro pigs to man one stationary camera. Because they're so fucking scared to be alone, because you know, we have this crime problem. Yes, the one the president flatly denies exists.

The wheel goes round ...
The strike is still ongoing and government hasn't budged. I get home in the afternoon and my kids ask me if the strike is over yet, so they can go to school.
This is a fault line .... while everything appears fine and normal on the outside, this is a deep rift the runs the length of our country, exposing the thin veneer of decency which those is govt are fighting so hard to preserve. It really does lay bare a few VERY unconfortable facts about our country, and particularly the rulers thereof.
I listened last night on the radio how MR mbeki condemned the strike and the violence of certain protesters .... HAH! ... and i say again HAH!
Is it only me who recalls that it was the ANC in the 1980's who implemented a plan of civil unrest, who believed that if they caused enough turmoil using mass action then the govt would have to listen? Does MR mbeki not recall that the rallying cry at the time was FREEDOM! and EQUALITY! ???
Does MR mbeki not realise that this is exactly what the workers want, going about it in a way that he and his comrades taught them to do?
Economic inequality it the greatest evil of our time, and MR mbeki and co should do well to realise that ignoring and subjugating the masses WILL NOT WORK.
This is exactly what they are doing. Economic hardship is worse than racial, and economic hardship for government employees is unforgivable. It's not that there isn't money, it's just not being shared fairly and EQUITABLY.
The likes of MR mbeki in anc land, where the struggle was successful and all they have to do now is not let the peasants get out of hand, should be very afraid. South Africa has shaken off one unwanted regime, and we are well capable of doing it again. I do think however, that MR mbeki and co would be a tad more brutal than the old whiteys were ....
Viva to the unions that have joined, their voice gives legitimacy to the government employees, saying "yes friends, we believe you are being ill treated at work" ...
This government should be known as the ostrich state. They love putting their heads in the sand and ignoring EVERYTHING. Senior member caught with his hand in the cookie jar? Oh no, just a misunderstanding, no crime was committed, nobody is upset, we're all friends. THAT'S MY MONEY YOU SNIVELLING PRICKS, my childrens BIRTHRIGHT.
As much as the strike inconveniences us, god help the co-worker who whinges about it. At my office we're all paid acceptably, and yet some silly people have got no fucking conception of what it's like to be economically disadvantaged. They think that the govt staff should shut up and accept what they're given, whether or not they can afford food is not our problem, and how dare they attempt to make it so?
The government WILL bend, they have no choice. Their hard headedness is telling though, and I fear for the turmoil until they accept the inevitable, and humane solution.

insert heading here ...
Another sunrise is peeking through my office windows. I love getting to work early, and having a cigarette over sunrise, somehow it gets the day off to a good start.
Coffee helps too.
Got a busy day coming up, hopefully it won't be bad *grin* but there is only one way to find out .... get up and at em.
Watched Ghostrider last night (no NOT nick cage with a bad hairdo) fuckin awesome!!!
The guy is just ... man *admire*. I'm still trying to work out the you-tube thing, i'll try get a link in under here. He is (apparently) a rich guy, who loves bikes, and riding bikes, fast. No really you don't understand ..... 300km/h IN TRAFFIC????
Watching is eery, a friend of mine thought is was a snuff film, that's how crazy it is ... but when you watch carefully a couple of things appear. Stockholm is doing a LOT of roadworks (?); while the traffic seems to be similar to ours (minus taxis) they have trucks and various cars etc, no lane changing, or at least significantly less.
I was watching with the eyes of someone who has driven through jo'burg traffic, not only to and from work, but around, and i don't give cars as much credit as he does. Notably there too people have got no clue about indicators (those flashing orange lights on each corner of your car, and more(?) ..... yes you're supposed to USE the fucking things).
He uses the whole road, although prefers the fast lane, using the run off on either side of the road when needed. Now what i found truly awesome, is that the basic don't change, you come up behind a car, evaluate it, look for options, look for danger in any of the options (a really slow truck in the slow lane eg) then take your route. This takes about 5 seconds to comfortably establish. If you're wide awake, you can do it while coming up from behind, before slowing, or in heavy traffic you get behind the car and see what can be done.
Ghostrider does it at full tilt when he can, but interestingly enough, when you get a glimpse of his speedo (sunlight reflecting blocks it) he knows when to slow ... down to 60km/h in the city.
Man what an adrenaline rush just watching, my fingers and toes were twitching as i lay in bed *chuckle* like a dog having a good dream.
I have been watching the bikes come past while i've been carbound, and man it looks impressive hey? They just kinda glide past between cars, and nothing you do could imitate it ... you're stuck, they're not ... byebye.
In truth i found that the average speed is about 20km/h faster than traffic, not a heckuva lot, and on the bike it seems to take FOREVER to get past that car ....
But watching the other guys has been good, with the exception of a few phsychos (i saw a guy pull a wheelie coming on from Hans Strydom a couple of weeks back) we all take a similar approach. I believe it's just the safe, rational way to approach it, careful and cautious, and hitting the power once you know where you're going.
Tar and metal and rubber and slippery white lines. Trucks give me the creeps, tyres being much bigger and harder than you. And lots of, and turbulent, and loud. Absolutely no misunderstanding about what they are and what they do.
The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round .....
Groovy!

monday
*strains of Metallica*
We are all connected, the great web of life, and a loss to one part is a loss to the whole. That's something the criminal class in SA still has to learn. In fact, i'd say most of humanity still has to learn that simple fact.
I did the wisest possible thing yesterday morning.
I didn't get up.
Getting up is over-rated, and somehow always disappointing. Better to stay in bed, warm and (relatively) safe.
Eventually a baby's birthday party dragged me out of bed ... insidious little bastards.
It's monday morning ... and i feel like ... ... ... ... ... *shrug* something on the bottom of someone's shoe. Not really up and at 'em.
I guess the week will be filled with all those things that last week was filled with *bleh*. Mrs has started a new job at an old company, she's capable of so much more ... *fustration* Although she's sick again, 4 weeks and every monday something else, flu this time. KFC made the family sick last week, and the 2 weeks before that was encephalitis ..... god damn.
Visited a friend in hospital, been there 2 weeks already, although should be out this morning. Shame, she's in hospital more than out.
The strike is still ongoing, and taxis are still threatening the mental and physical health of all those who come close. I'm sure taxi drivers themselves are in a constant "current traumatic stress disorder" ... which explains a lot.
On the upside i found a few tracks of an old favourite .. Doro and her band Warlock.
EXCELLENT STUFF!!!!!
"DANCE DEMONS >>> LOSE CONTROL >>> THIS IS A METAL, A METAL TANGO"
Yeah! *evil chuckle*
Nothing like metal in the morning to make me feel like it's going to be a criminally insane day. I feel better all ready.
In fact, more and more, good solid metal is the only thing ... especially when you're down. Hard heavy screaming guitars and vocals, with a drum player who took lessons from Thor. Metallica, Stratovarious, Iron Maiden, there are so many ...
Yngwe Malmsteen is also a favourite, cross between classic and metal, does a number of classic pieces in a metal style, brilliant!!!!
I must find out how to embed you-tube clips, i think that may work to give a glimpse of metal glory. hmmmmmm.......
Nope not working, i copied and pasted some code from another site, but doesn't seem to work .... anyone got any ideas?

For Whom the Bell Tolls
For Whom the Bell Tolls
by John Donne
No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manner of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

Restraint
Ok first up, found this really cool essay about joeys.
http://www.mydigitallife.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1721&Itemid=43
I hate the place. No really. This is the most godawful stinking hole on the ground i have ever lived in. Asshole of the universe.
I wanna get outta here ... soon.
It's all about restraint, you CAN'T hit that fucking taxi with a tire iron, you CAN'T tell your boss to fuck himself, you CAN'T have that bike you want, cos you don't have money, you CAN'T just go out for a jol, because you CAN'T drink, because you gotta drive, and it's either hijackers or cop, but they're gonna get you.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR *punch something*
Ok deep breath. Go do something. Make coffee.
Just to clarify, i spent 2 hours in traffic this morning. Amongst the most ignorant arrogant brain dead bunch of sub humans imaginable. With robots (stop go light thingys) not working because of the recent heavy rains and current strike.
The metro cops are out and about fining people anyway, and my car isn't licensed because the satan system (enatis) isn't operational. I drive past a testing station every day, and watch the people stand outside, as if they have nothing better to do.
Sadly i find myself going further and further downhill. I don't read anymore, i used to read vociferously. I don't go out anymore, i became allergic to car repairs and filling station, and random roadblocks, and hijackings.
I wanna go home and sleep .... for a few days .... anyone want some children? I'll post them to you, they'll enjoy the ride i'm sure.
Oh crap ... lemme get outta here ...
Peace and love and chickenwings

Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic, Traffic,
Yes there's always a lot of it.
A very good synopsis of the situation in johannesburg. Property and traffic.

Got the moon viewer thing ... funky!! I like to remind myself when it's luny luna time. Howling at the moon is a highly under-rated passtime. So is barking at passing cars. I want my bike back ... *VROOM* with the wind and tar and engine screaming together in joyful abandon ..... flying across the land with the passion of a demon in full flight.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
We need more crazy, lucky thing is, it's certainly on the way ... it was Ernest Hemingway when asked what his definition of the breakdown of civil society would be, replied that when people started shooting each other for no reason in the streets ...
bang bang bang vtech rampage ... now a pc game ... i kid you not ...
i don't really want to link to it though ... it really is too macabre
I go face the day ... foward march! onward ho! kyk noord! to the coffee machine :)
