LATEST Solar wind

So that was yesterday. Allow me to post a second comparitive:

This is "more normal". This next image is a recent crop circle. There was also a "dragonfly" circle that appreared about the same time, and also a "mayan bird".

Oh yeah, you can keep track here: http://www2.nict.go.jp/y/y223/simulation/realtime/

It seems to have calmed down again, but definitely something happened.

EDIT: OMFG!!! And this is the latest crop circle to land. What can be said???

Solar Torpedo

EDIT: I see it does not "run" the gif series, so i replaced with a jpg. I urge you to go have a look, you can select either movie or stills, it's quite large i think, but you're looking for from about 20h00 on the 29th, to 2h00 on the 30th.

Go to: http://sohodata.nascom.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/data_query

Do a search for: 2000-04-29 TO 2000-04-30

This image is a composite of frames from the Lasco C2. The Lasco C3 also has this "event", only much less visible. The "object" clearly does not pass the sun, but ends in the sun. No effect is immediately visible, and it should be remembered that the sun was at a peak in terms of activity, very different from what we find now.

However, none of the EIT images reflect this same event. Granted the LASCO takes a much higher rate of frames, ut the EIT series are close ups, so any item that hits the sun would surely be visible? I would accept "comet/meteor/anything" IF in fact it were visible on all of the cameras. As it is, only 2 show evidence. And there was no announcement on what remains an oddity.

If you look at EIT 195, at 01H13 on the 30th, there is clearly a pixelisation effect of some sort. Rather odd, since it's speckled all around the sun, not a specific place.

A reminder again of THIS image i posted: Sun harvesting. That was 2006-07-04 at 17h30.

The Cathedral and the Bazaar

The Cathedral and the Bazaar

I've just read this fascinating account of a software development program. Ok, i'm not THAT much of a nerd, it gets deeper. It compared diffrent management styles, known as, "Cathedral" or "Bazaar".

The former is typical microsoft, heirarchecal, structured, ordered, with a master mason controlling every aspect. The latter is more like a middle eastern bazaar, with everyone on equal terms, jostling and shouting and throwing their share in. In effect what Linux is.

A very interesting commentary on teamwork, and how to get the best results for a project. I can say little more than "read it", but i'd like to include a quote from the paper, from 19th-century Russian anarchist Pyotr Alexeyvich Kropotkin's Memoirs of a Revolutionist:

"Having been brought up in a serf-owner's family, I entered active life, like all young men of my time, with a great deal of confidence in the necessity of commanding, ordering, scolding, punishing and the like. But when, at an early stage, I had to manage serious enterprises and to deal with [free] men, and when each mistake would lead at once to heavy consequences, I began to appreciate the difference between acting on the principle of command and discipline and acting on the principle of common understanding. The former works admirably in a military parade, but it is worth nothing where real life is concerned, and the aim can be achieved only through the severe effort of many converging wills."

MJ

So he died, thank god.

Now i just wish his music would die with him, but no, blaring frojm every single radio station all FUCKING DAY LONG.

I'm reading polls about how he'll be remembered. How about as a psychotic child abuser who played his role perfectly. A perfect example of how fucked up the world is. Especially now, as everybody falls over themselves to "honour" this witless puppet.

*spit*

Next can madonna please go the same way.

Moonwars

Background: (from NASA-http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2006/28jul_crashlanding.htm)

In 1959, a spaceship fell out of the lunar sky and hit the ground near the Sea of Serenity. The ship itself was shattered, but its mission was a success. Luna 2 from the Soviet Union had became the first manmade object to "land" on the Moon.

Even after NASA mastered soft landings, however, the crashing continued. In the late 1960s and early 70s, mission controllers routinely guided massive Saturn rocket boosters into the Moon to make the ground shake for Apollo seismometers. Crashing was much easier than orbiting, they discovered. The Moon's uneven gravity field tugs on satellites in strange ways, and without frequent course corrections, orbiters tend to veer into the ground. Thus the Moon became a convenient graveyard for old spaceships: All five of NASA's Lunar Orbiters (1966-1972), four Soviet Luna probes (1959-1965), two Apollo sub-satellites (1970-1971), Japan's Hiten spacecraft (1993) and NASA's Lunar Prospector (1999) ended up in craters of their own making.

____________________________________________________________________

China’s first satellite, Chang’e I crash landed into the moon Sunday March the 1st at 4:13 PM Beijing time. This successfully completed a 16 month long mission; yes you heard right the crash landing was planned. Change’e I, named after the Chinese moon goddess, was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center also known as Base 27 which is a little over 50km outside the city of Xichange in China. The satellite was launched with a Long March 3-A carrier rocket on October 24, 2007 and spent 494 days in space collecting data. This mission was essentially a test run for future rover landing missions to take place in 2009 and 2012. China is also planning a manned lunar exploration mission on or before 2020.

... the lunar explorer "KAGUYA" just prior to its maneuvered falling to the Moon ... The KAGUYA was launched on September 14, 2007, and was controlled to be dropped to the Moon on June 11, 2009, as its mission was completed.

... The collision reportedly took place at 1655 GMT on Tuesday the 10 February, at an altitude of 490 miles above Siberia. Two satellites smashed into each other on Tuesday, creating a mess of space debris that is still being counted. The collision, which involved an Iridium communication satellite and a defunct Russian satellite, is the first to occur between two intact spacecraft - but experts say it is unlikely to be the last.

_______________________________________________________________________

Now i had also heard about a nasa craft already having hit the deck this year too, but can't find anything among all the newer stories.

I hadn't realised how many craft had hit the moon, and i'm astounded at the nonchalance displayed(!). I would consider the moon on a par with antarctica, valuable because of it's pristeneness, and possible value to posterity. There is none of the future, only now.

The satellite crash was a first though, and apparently the DATA showed they were supposed to miss by 500metres or so. Oh really? THAT is h0w badly they know what they are doing up there, half a kilometre VARIANCE???

WHat i wanted to highlight though, was that tis year, 3 different space agencies have crash landed the moon. That's BIZARRE!!! Why on earth (yar ok punny) would they DO something like that?

Enter Wikipedia: (why do they call it psuedoscience? it's a theory, with reasonable scientific calculations and observations to support the theory. Since the official version is AS theoretical, it seeems a little arrogant)
Two pieces of evidence are quoted in support of the pseudoscientific theory of a hollow Moon:
Seismometer recordings from Apollo XII mission in November 1969. After seismometers were set up on the Moon's surface by the astronauts of Apollo XII, astronauts heading back to Earth discarded the ascent stage of the lunar module, dropping it on the Moon's surface. The craft smashed and the shock waves the seismometers picked up lasted for about an hour.
The relatively low average density of the Moon, which is only about 60% of the average density of the Earth.

Hmmmm, so our moon is lighter than we thought, a LOT lighter by apparearances. Also, how would a piece of debris, a few tons maybe, get the moon to resonate for half an hour? Not only that, but now they're going to do that again, with a 2 tons worth of bomb? To do what? Look for water? um, water is a lot easier to find inbulk than in aerosol form? Isnt it? (i have no idea, but after a bomb goes off, stuff scatters, and solid items break into smaller pieces, usually moving very fast) ...

Of course, there is more, like why is it always facing the same way? Why is it the apparent same size as our sun? There are no "scientific" reasons for these 2 questions. And why for flying fuck sakes, can i not find a picture of the dark side of the fucking moon? WE KNOW THEY HAVE TAKEN MILLIONS OF PICTURES!!

Yet, somehow, the only pictures that ever surface are on "conspiracy" websites, which are "obviously" all faked. But those are the only images we have, the official NASA and JAPAN photos, well, they just haven't released them, as they both said they would, before they had taken.

Now i'm not saying ANYTHING. I ask. My conclusions of course, are fed by others who ask too. But somehow there is something that NASA, et al are not telling us.

Oh PS, another question: UNEVEN GRAVITY FIELD?

You do not prevaricate unless you are hiding ... something.

Free will

To quote the autobiography of the 19th-century Russian anarchist Pyotr Alexeyvich Kropotkin's "Memoirs of a Revolutionist":

Having been brought up in a serf-owner's family, I entered active life, like all young men of my time, with a great deal of confidence in the necessity of commanding, ordering, scolding, punishing and the like. But when, at an early stage, I had to manage serious enterprises and to deal with [free] men, and when each mistake would lead at once to heavy consequences, I began to appreciate the difference between acting on the principle of command and discipline and acting on the principle of common understanding. The former works admirably in a military parade, but it is worth nothing where real life is concerned, and the aim can be achieved only through the severe effort of many converging wills.

Privatise Jesus

From: http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=13&art_id=vn20090624061948642C507232

The Friends of Jacob Zuma Trust, an organisation of supporters of the president, has accused the SA Council of Churches of "trying to privatise Jesus Christ and turning Christianity into a cult".

This is after the church body objected to Zuma's renewed declaration that the ANC would rule until the Second Coming.

The ANC also defended the president's remarks, saying they should be seen in context.

"We refuse, like many other South African Christians, to allow the SACC to conduct themselves as if they own Jesus Christ. It has become very clear that this religious body wants to turn the Christian religion into some sort of cult belonging to a particular religion," said the trust in Gauteng.
___________________________________________________________________________

Once again i am at a loss. I do not undersand this train of thought. Look at the last paragraph, that's a convoluted statement. It IS a religion. How can a religion turn itself into a cult belonging to that same religion?

What we are seeing on the surface, i believe, is the inevitable result of political rhetoric, or rather, an extreme example of. It's confused, confusing and distorted. This is something the anc has been doing from the start, taking marxist political rhetoric, mixing in their version of "sounding intelligent" and using it to propose things whose true purpose is suspect.

The underlying message is even worse. Why attack the church? Perhaps zumas litte stint in rhema gave him ... wait ... he already HAS delusions of grandeur.
Oh dear ....

But again, zuma is a popularist, and his large support base includes many christians, of varying faiths. Politically it's not smart. He even claims christianity as "his".

All ican add, is that zuma is a puppet, literally. He is doing and saying what he is told by TPTB. That's the scary part. Much of South Africa's recent history has been carefully planned and manipulated, an social experiment, rather, a series of.

I keep getting back to Roman Law, and it's use as the basis for our laws. Many boasted that the SA constitution and laws post 1994 were the best in the world. This was arguable, yes. But those laws were based entirely on western laws and precepts, and was highly refined to incorporate "human rights". While the Magna Carta contained the basics, the political correctness of sex, sexual preference, colour, creed, religions, and so on is fairly new to politics and law.

So we have this "masterpiece" of legal fiction, a shining example of what was conceived thousands of years ago (to oppress) refined and reworked under the eyes and direction of the world, incorporating the latest "thoughts and ideas" of this modern society.

See how utterly it has fallen.

Why do people say these things?

2009/06/23

ANC President Jacob Zuma has again boasted that the ruling party would not be conquered until “Jesus comes back”.

Zuma, who was addressing thousands of supporters in Witbank, Mpumalanga, yesterday, said: ‘‘The ANC will rule until the Son of Man comes. He must come back while we are still in power.”

The ANC president was roundly criticised by religious leaders shortly before the elections when he invoked the name of Jesus to illustrate the ruling party’s hold on power.

Zuma, who was in Mpumalanga to thank party members for their support during the general election, said: ‘‘We want the ANC to win all the forthcoming elections and rule this country.”

He said there was no party that could challenge the power of the ANC, and that there were no divisions between the government and the ruling party.

‘‘The government is the daughter of the ANC. The government is there and it is yours to be proud of, to criticise when necessary so that it can do the right things.’’
______________________________________________________________________

But really, why does he say that? He isn't a christian, and if anything, should dislike the christians for historical reasons. In one sentence he affirms and negates something that he should at best be neutral to. After the widespread condemnation he would KNOW that it creates anger amongst many communities, surely he can't be that simple?
It is mockery, pure and simple. And having been made president as he predicted, well he obviously considers himself on a par with. This is a very big fuck you to all religious communities, beware the african truce.

Blackjack again

You must excuse me, but this has really sparked my interest.

One of the mysteries was the sudden appearance of jackblack13. It was obviously NOT part of the origional, yet very clearly was ... the smart "investigators" recognised it as such.

However, this guy has come clean, explained himself and his actions, and IMHO scooped blackjack from it's creators. Any way you wish to break it down, this whole thing was mind control/games. This 13 bloke rode the wave. No fancy slideshows, just took what was happening and ran with it.

He attracted a lot of people in a short time, and many left comments in a fake "login" box. He has now presented what was said DURING the incident by the various people who left messages.

He also has left a short essay, well worth a read, about how fantastical the whole thing was. He also makes an excellent point, that a website popping out of the ether was given more credibility than most give the bible. Now whatever your thinking on the bible,it is certainly a very credible document. More so than a new webpage.

http://www.jackblack13.info/

From there i give this worthy quote:

My point is that they have won. They've accomplished their stated agenda. Your parents have become meaningless to you, and the prospect of children is a burden in your mind. You don't even relate the act of sex with the prospect of creating new life, you would call that an accident, and this is just one of the unnatural absurdities that permeates our manufactured culture. The faith of our forefathers incites within you a conditioned response of disgust. You have become exactly what the machine was built to mold you into. You focus all of your intellectual energy arguing against the left or the right, or criticizing whatever puppet is in the oval office, leaving no energy to be used where it is useful: First at home, raising a righteous family, then in your church and community, creating self sustaining communities of people that can provide for and defend themselves. You have no choice but to hope that there IS a conspiracy of intellectual elites, because if there's not, then you've really got nothing.

Viral threats

No, not swine flu. So the great cynic (me) was taken in!!!!

I posted about the odd slideshow "Blackjack" which appeared in the Telegraph. So imagine my (and others) suprise and consternation when one of the "fictional" slides had an encoded message. Hexadeimal numbers spelling out: "this is not simply entertainment"

And away they went. Alternative truth seeker types ripped the slideshow apart for further clues, and found the following website: http://jackblack12.info, which later changed to http://www.jackblack12.info

It was very well done, i'll give it that. But seriously warped ideas behind it. It was manipulation, fear mongering, and terrorism all in one. The themes developed overnight, and jackblack 13 and 14 and 15 and 22 came after, more than likely copycats, BUT nevertheless adding the hysteria.

There were many clues that it was only a game, but in my opinion even more that said it wasn't. It directly referenced "ARDENT SENTRY" which happens to be the US military drills, currently taking place.

The whole thing wrapped up in a whimper, suddenly with the "creators" claiming that "we" had won. 15 minutes for questions, and a terse comment: "i think i may write something about this tomorrow".

The freak behind it, is Justin Williams, an associate editor on the Telegraph, with a numberof strange ideas. Just google him, a few instances of controversy surrounds him. But still, the whole scenario is just TOO well worked out to be a beer inspired con game, which is what justin claims. His too slick "i think i may" belies the importance of what had just been presented.

The i read: http://pigs-in-the-parlor.blogspot.com/2009/01/black-jack-daily-telegraph-jericho-cbs.html which is both an accurate reporting of the "game" and includes 1 small piece of invaluable information: Justin Williams in a jesuit.

Mindfuckers anonymous for over 1000 years, they are little more then seriously perverse people. They brought you the wonders of the Spanish Inquisition, remember? And have been shaping human destiny .. blah blah blah. The devil's cocksuckers all.

Go read the pigs in the parlour post, it's really very well reported. And yes, they are fucking with us.

Crop Circles South Africa

I have this annoying habit of asking questions. Usually simple ones. Strangely enough, the answers are usually far from simple, and i end up down some blasted rabbit hole.

This one was: Do crop circles appear in South Africa?

And using google, i went looking. I'm not going post each and every url here, you can easily find them, but more just the point i'm trying to make, without specific references. So among the results i find these:

Crop cirlces are most often discovered in fields of cereal grains such as wheat, corn, barley and rice. Crop circles have also been found etched in long grass and even snow. While travelling in England, Kidzworld founder Allen Achilles was able to walk through a crop circle - very freaky. They've been reported in fields around the world - from the US to Brazil, from Russia to South Africa - reports have been made in over 70 countries worldwide

The phenomenon seemed to gain momentum after the initial stories were told. Now the formations are showing up in fields in Australia, South Africa, The United States, Russia, and China. They are just about anywhere that farmers grow crops and that the field can be altered so that an image is clearly visible from the air.

As the crop circle phenomenon gained momentum, formations have also been reported in Australia, South Africa, China, Russia, and many other countries, frequently in close proximity to ancient sacred sites. For the thousands reported every year, the vast majority go completely undetected. Most of the complex formations occur in the United Kingdom and they are also more likely to be detected because of the country's smaller land mass.

So it certainly appears that South Africa is on the list. There are many specific references to South Africa. Then i start finding:

Where do they appear? They have appeared on every continent and been reported in over 70 countries worldwide. The only countries where there have been no reports of crop circles is mainland China and South Africa. A large number have appeared in the former Czech Republic and the latest report is that over 2,000 have appeared in India alone.

the Crop Circle Connector web site. ... Crop circles have not as yet been reported in China and South Africa. ...

They occur in crops during the spring & summer seasons throughout various regions of the world, such as in the U.S., Canada, throughout Europe, South America, Asia and Australia. In fact, the only two countries where crop circle have never been reported are China and South Africa.

Huh? So aside from the oddity that South Africa is specifically mentioned in all these reports, the information is clearly contradictory.

Then i got excited. SOuth Africa HAS HAD crop circles, in 1993, and latr that decade!! Yay! Go to google images, type crop circle south africa image and:

BMFUCKINGW .... hunt lascaris, may they burn in hell. So merry england gets fractals explaining the nature of the univere, and we get a bl00dy advert. Cell C heard about that, and followed suit. Hope they enjoy being barbecued.

BT i was still left with a problem, WHY was it such a mystery? and from WHERE do people get the idea that there are crop ircles here?

Turns out to be from a 1996 interview of Credo Mutwa. This is the african crop circle:

The whole article can be found here:
http://www.kornkreise-forschung.de/textCredoMutwa.htm

So moving along. We have 1 report, unconfirmed, from over a hundred years ago. That does not convince me at all. I did find a pic which purports to show a crescent moon in crops, taken "somewhere over Southern Africa". It appears really small, and is almost hidden in the shot.

What still confuses me is the abosoluteness with which South Africa is treated in this topic, YES or NO, but definitely worth referring to, as though the inclusion somehow grants the author some kind of worth. Wiki mentions nothing.

Crop circles are created using high frequency waveforms, transmitted through an unknown medium, perhaps light, which causes an interaction with the crops, the water in the crops and ground, and i would imagine is also elated to the iron content in the ground. A possible reason why the ley lines in England have more incidents than other places. They are occuring almost exclusively in the Northern Hemisphere. Again, while Brazil, New Zealand, Australia and others are mentioned, i cannot find credible evidence to support that. And even if 1 or 2 pitures proving me rong do exist, it's CERTAINLY not on the same scale as the North.

Legends speak of the "people" (?) "on" (?) "niburu" (?) who are communicating with Earth, to perhaps warn us of their arrival. To either welcome or hide from them i suppose. If it was them, they would be "signaling" the Northern Hemishere. Hardly conclusive, but hypathetically it would be so.

Depite the massive ley line conjuction near Bronkhorstspruit, and the earth energies found there, i have not found a single recorded incident, despite that area being replete with ghost, ufo and other wierd stories.

Curiouser and curiouser. I have reason to believe the karoo is a massive "bse" of some sort, but of course have no evidence, just a hunch. Either way, seems the aliens round these parts are smart enough to leave us alone, for the most part.

This is the one story that stands out, and still remains a mystery.

http://www.ufoevidence.org/Cases/case127.htm

Summary: On 14th September, 1994, a UFO streaked across the sky over Southern Africa. Two days later, something landed in a schoolyard in Ruwa, Zimbabwe, with three or four things beside it, according to journalist Cynthia Hind. This was witnessed by 62 schoolchildren, who had little or no exposure to TV or popular press accounts of UFOs. Cynthia Hind interviewed them the day after the encounter and made them draw pictures of what they had seen.

The rain in joburg ....

Ok so it doesn't rhyme, but it does rain in winter here. Every winter. Every year. No it's NOT wierd. Why on earth are joburg people so thick headed that every year when it rains in winter, they consider it strange that it's raining, in winter?

This is the thing, The Transvaal Highveld is known for it's hot wet summers and cold dry winters. Fine, but it's certainly not as exclusive as they think.

But then these blasted vaalies HATE rain, or weather i should say. Anything other than hot and sunny has them bitching. In fact, even then they bitch because it's hot.

http://www.weathersa.co.za/Climat/Climstats/JohannesburgStats.jsp (I can't embed, wtf? just go see :D)

For those who cannot read it's simple.

IN JOHANNESBURG, IT RAINS EVERY MONTH OF THE YEAR!

Simple enough?
The average for April is 54mm.
The average for May is 13mm.
The average for June is 9mm.
The average for July is 4mm.
The average for August is 6mm.
The average for September is 27mm.

These are averages taken from 1961 to 1990. While the general trend is dry, this is PRECIPITATION. Fucking rain. You know, the stuff that keeps us alive, and clean, and healthy, and happy.

Now i ask my fellow joburgers nicely ... stop bitching about the rain!!!!!

William Blake

O for a voice like thunder, and a tongue
To drown the throat of war! - When the senses
Are shaken, and the soul is driven to madness,
Who can stand?

When the souls of the oppressed
Fight in the troubled air that rages, who can stand?

When the whirlwind of fury comes from the
Throne of god, when the frowns of his countenance
Drive the nations together, who can stand?

When Sin claps his broad wings over the battle,
And sails rejoicing in the flood of Death;
When souls are torn to everlasting fire,
And fiends of Hell rejoice upon the slain.
Who can stand?

O who hath caused this?
O who can answer at the throne of God?
The Kings and Nobles of the Land have done it!
Hear it not, Heaven, thy Ministers have done it!

Whale of a time

http://marine.earth-touch.com/index.php/item/humpback_whale_breaches_enroute_to_warmer_waters

This image, taken by Roger Horrocks of http://marine.earth-touch.com/ was taken over the weekend off the south coast.

The added comment:
Increasingly we are seeing groups of humpback whales, Megaptera
novaeangliae, making their yearly migration from the cold feeding grounds of
Antarctica to the warm spawning grounds of the tropics. One of the larger
baleen whales, the humpback whale was almost hunted into extinction until a
ban in hunting in 1963 gave these leviathans the opportunity to make a
gradual but sustained come back. An intriguing and spectacular behavioural
characteristic of these whales is breaching, in which the animal appears to
make a real effort to jump clear out of the water. Why they do this is
unclear, but experts suggest that as it is often done in groups, it may play
a role in communicating with other individuals. Another theory is that it is
useful for dislodging parasites.

I know what happened to the Air France Flight 447

Pakistan Daily

According to Air France CEO Pierre-Henry Gourgeon the Air France AirBus flying from Rio to Paris transmitted "a succession of a dozen technical messages" indicating that "several electrical systems had broken down" which caused a "totally unprecedented situation in the plane."

Gourgeon is wrong. The events that resulted in the death of 128 people over the Atlantic were precedented. There have been several similar events.

Reuters has reported that AirBus is claiming that the Airbus A330 has a good safety record, with no fatal accidents on a commercial flight. This is a falsehood that Reuters did not bother to correct.

In Miami in 1999 pilot and co-pilot of an American Airlines Airbus A300 about to land suddenly lost control of the plane to an exogenous agency. The rudder moved several times on its own. "The rudder movements were extreme" said the NTSP.

And then, from The Sunday Herald:

AMID THE media frenzy and speculation over the disappearance of Air France's ill-fated Flight 447, the loss of two of the world's most prominent figures in the war on the illegal arms trade and international drug trafficking has been virtually overlooked.

Pablo Dreyfus, a 39-year-old Argentine who was travelling with his wife Ana Carolina Rodrigues aboard the doomed flight from Rio de Janeiro to Paris, had worked tirelessly with the Brazilian authorities to stem the flow of arms and ammunition that for years has fuelled the bloody turf wars waged by drug gangs in Rio's sprawling favelas.

Also travelling with Dreyfus on the doomed flight was his friend and colleague Ronald Dreyer, a Swiss diplomat and co-ordinator of the Geneva Declaration on Armed Violence who had worked with UN missions in El Salvador, Mozambique, Azerbaijan, Kosovo and Angola. Both men were consultants at the Small Arms Survey, an independent think tank based at Geneva's Graduate Institute of International Studies. The Survey said on its website that Dryer had helped mobilise the support of more than 100 countries to the cause of disarmament and development.

May they, and their fellow passengers Rest in Peace.

Georg is free

I just received news that Georg and his friends have been released by the Mozambican government.

"Free at Last! The four prisoners of Orgone have been released.
After a disturbing phonecall from Georg on Friday morning ( Carlos wanted to enter a hunger strike, security was tightened after a failed escape attempt by other prisoners..) the relieving news came in the late afternoon. All four were in the lawyers flat, still quite shellshocked, but free.
So Dr.Nhantumbo finaly managed to get them out. As all major charges were dropped by the prosecution, there was not even bail necessary, as it's now only about an administrative fine for littering and for smuggling Orgonite into the country. The prosecution just didn't want to face the hearing, scheduled for Monday. There would have been way to many uncomfortable questions.

Georg, Tino, Carlos and Prophet are invited to a barbeque with the lawyer and his family today. Georg told me this morning, that it is only slowly sinking in, in how much danger they were and how traumatised they are by staying in such a rathole for almost two month. We fortunately know how to fix the resulting health issues, but the shock is going to last a bit. We defintiely need to develop a completly new strategy for Southern Africa in terms of gifting."

I hope they get home soon!

I posted the above image, then found a better one :D

Hail Janis!!!

Joplin that is!!! :-D

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends.
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a color TV ?
Dialing For Dollars is trying to find me.
I wait for delivery each day until three,
So oh Lord, won’t you buy me a color TV ?

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a night on the town ?
I’m counting on you, Lord, please don’t let me down.
Prove that you love me and buy the next round,
Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a night on the town ?

Everybody!
Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends,
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

That’s it!

Justice Richard Goldstone

I'm not all doom and gloom, as has been suggested ... *chuckle*

Credit where it is due, and Justice Richard Goldstone certainly does deserve recognition. I must add my own experience with the man, a unique one i think.

I was working in broadcasting, and we got the contract to record the constitutional court in session. The courtroom was tiny, befoe they moved into their current offices, and the justices were arranged in a semi circle in front of the seating area. I was positioned stage right, one of three cameras.

My position and direction placed me directly opposite this great man, and when the camera was in "rest" position, was aimed at his seating place. He in turn used the camera lens (i think) as a sort of "empty focus" place, while listening to the arguments being presented. So, over a number of weeks, i ended up staring at him, and he at me. Thankfully it was a blank stare, but i can confirm the depths in that man's gaze. I certainly would never wish to be presented before him on a criminal charge.

It sparked an interest in him, that led me to follow him since, and to trace his history, and judgements over the years. Someone indeed worthy of respect, who gave the Bosnian trials credibility, through his unimpeachable morality and judicial wisdom.

I was going to post the whole story, but then ended up waffling as i have, but this needs to be reprinted, and etched into history, that there are in fact men worthy of the name, despite all the others who make us doubt that, sometimes.

Quote from SA Good News:
"As Chief Prosecutor of the UN International Criminal Tribunals for Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia, Justice Goldstone displayed a mature, meticulous, and measured exercise of his mandate that reanimated the enterprise of international justice, bringing both a degree of resolution to victims and a new model for the prosecution of crimes against humanity," said MacArthur President Jonathan Fanton, who presented the Award in The Hague.

"Insisting on the independence of the counsel and judges, a transparent establishment of the facts in each case, due-process protections for the accused, and the centrality of first-hand testimony from witnesses and surviving victims, he gave the Tribunals moral authority and legal credibility. Justice Goldstone stood guarantor for the responsibility, probity, and value of international justice; his unquestioned competence and integrity won the faith of the world."

Edutainment

This article just made me sick. Of course i'm not feeling well today, flu or something, but no. This is so wrong on so many levels.

JZ picture to fly high in schools?

The ANC Youth League wants portraits of President Jacob Zuma and the country's flags to hang in all pre-schools and primary schools by the end of May.

The league says it will meet Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga to discuss the matter.

The ANCYL hatched the plan as part of its Youth Month programme, launched in Soweto on Monday.

Their plan is to distribute flags to all schools, but the department says it has already begun to do so through its Flags in Schools Project.

Youth league spokesperson Floyd Shivambu said it would also interact with the Department of Arts and Culture and the new Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and People with Disabilities.

"We want the distribution to start in May, as this is Youth Month. We will do this in partnership with other departments. We will find a way and we will make a financial contribution to get them distributed where needed."

The league said it wanted to create a "well-rounded South African child through edutainment".

This included "promoting civic education through distribution of the national flag and a portrait of the state president in all pre-schools and primary schools", it said.

Maijuana makes you smart

Oh ok, it gives you a bigger brain ... sort of. And we all know that brain size has nothing to do with smartness. I mean ... look at zuma?

Anyway ... the scientific study that proves i'm smarter than you ... no ... tat proves i'm a mouse ... or perhaps ... ok, i'm just a stoner, but hey :D

Quote from Newscientist

A synthetic chemical similar to the active ingredient in marijuana makes new cells grow in rat brains. What is more, in rats this cell growth appears to be linked with reducing anxiety and depression. The results suggest that marijuana, or its derivatives, could actually be good for the brain.

In mammals, new nerve cells are constantly being produced in a part of the brain called the hippocampus, which is associated with learning, memory, anxiety and depression. Other recreational drugs, such as alcohol, nicotine and cocaine, have been shown to suppress this new growth. Xia Zhang of the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada, and colleagues decided to see what effects a synthetic cannabinoid called HU210 had on rats' brains.

They found that giving rats high doses of HU210 twice a day for 10 days increased the rate of nerve cell formation, or neurogenesis, in the hippocampus by about 40%.

Well to my mind the most noticable result of this experiment is the conclusive evidence that marijuana is dissimilar to alcohol. It's also a much more positive "thing" than popular science admits to. In many ways.

Recession 2009

Due to the recession in 2009 the government will start deporting all the
mentally ill people to save money. I started crying when I thought of you.

Run my crazy little friends, run!

Well, what can I say???

Someone sent it to me, and dammit, I'm NOT going alone!!

General Motors

t is with sad irony that the company which invented "planned obsolescence" -- the decision to build cars that would fall apart after a few years so that the customer would then have to buy a new one -- has now made itself obsolete. It refused to build automobiles that the public wanted, cars that got great gas mileage, were as safe as they could be, and were exceedingly comfortable to drive. Oh -- and that wouldn't start falling apart after two years. GM stubbornly fought environmental and safety regulations. Its executives arrogantly ignored the "inferior" Japanese and German cars, cars which would become the gold standard for automobile buyers. And it was hell-bent on punishing its unionized workforce, lopping off thousands of workers for no good reason other than to "improve" the short-term bottom line of the corporation. Beginning in the 1980s, when GM was posting record profits, it moved countless jobs to Mexico and elsewhere, thus destroying the lives of tens of thousands of hard-working Americans. The glaring stupidity of this policy was that, when they eliminated the income of so many middle class families, who did they think was going to be able to afford to buy their cars? History will record this blunder in the same way it now writes about the French building the Maginot Line or how the Romans cluelessly poisoned their own water system with lethal lead in its pipes.

African fractals ...

African Fractals

Right ok, so again, the universe has humbled me PROPERLY. *grin*

One of my recent discoveries was from the field of feng shui, and the "wrongness" of 90 degree angles. Correlates astoundingly closely to the "anti-green" theory. Simply put, all chlorophyll based life is green, fact. The answer is given that white light, when broken into spectrum, consists of a number of differents "phases" each one correspnding to an angle. In the case of green, that angle is 90 degrees. Also the most likely angle to cause DESTRUCTIVE interference in any wave set.

So, the question then becomes, if we do not use our euclidian geometry to create our living spaces, what the hell do we use? The answer of course is fractals. Ok, maybe not "of course, but think about it ;-)

Which brings under our analytical microscope the surprising fact that africans use fractals on a daily basis. Being african, i had to find out more.

Go see the above link. Not only an astounding look into african beliefs, but also a brilliant introduction to fractals, what they are, how they work. Interactive too.

Certainly one of the best web sites i've seen for a long time.

... in which i am visited by a family of clouds ...

Some mornings are more special than others. Not that any are bad, just some have that quality and crispness that carries through the day, and you reflect on the sunrise as you savour the sunset, and so another day has passed.

Whenever i see the first rays ... usually blindingly bright through my visor lens, reflected off a million pieces of shiny metal and glass ... it brings to mind "Sunrise" by Uriah Heep ... sharp, powerful, bright and clear. It's an emotional piece, as all good msic works are, with so much more than JUST sound.

My father in law and i were sharing the joy of Beethoven's 9th over the weekend. Two completely different people, sharing the love inherent in the music of a deaf man. How more real can it be, to know that music is more than sound?

However i digress.

The clouds this morning, a whole family of elementals floated past. Perfect pose, and joyful in the morning's first rays. I cannot describe the beauty and majesty of these creatures, nor the playfulnes with which they greet you.

I am told that they are rare, in these modern times, and certainly seeing a family says much for the state of our air. The smog is loathsome, but the higher atmosphere is from the south west, open seas until Antarctica.

Sometimes i think i'm crazy, and other times i know with a single understanding that i am not. Sylphs of the sky are like that too. You can think around them your whole life, and yet one morning you look up, and it can be no other way. One was curious at this human ... you could feel the interest and mind behind it.

Question:
If all life is fractal in nature, is everything factal alive?

Rest in Peace Whales

Words fail me .... :(

IOL

The 44 false killer whales shot after swimming ashore at Kommetjie on Saturday were trucked under police escort to the Vissershok dump site yesterday amid sharp criticism of the public's role in the attempted rescue.

Meredith Thornton, a scientist at the Mammal Research Institute, said no one knew for sure why whales beached.

"False killer whales are highly social and the dominant whale could have something wrong and come ashore and the others follow. Or the leader could have a navigational error."

Fuck that. Sonar. Only way for that to happen. Fuck people.
