Power

This is a rant, pure and simple. It's something i need people to hear. Power, specifically your own. Even more specifically that which you give away. And even more so, that which is used against you.

YOU HAVE THE POWER. Full stop end of story. But you give that power away to people. They want it. They'll do ANYTHING to have it. And you let them. And then, to add insult to injury, you HELP them to fuck you over with it by honouring your commitment!!! Enough. 

When you allow someone power over you, please hold the reigns? Be it boss husband wife or anyone else, do not let them hang on to the power, take it back. It is yours to take back. They will never relinquish that powwer, certainly not as easily as you did. They know the true value of it, yet you have so given yourself to their control you ACCEPT what they tell you, when they repeatedly hold onto that power. They hold on like a dying man to a liferaft, and tell you it's only a piece of rubbish. 

IT'S YOUR POWER. POWER. Read that word and please understand its POWER. Not happiness, or fuzzy feelings, or even self image, it's power raw and pure. And it's still yours. Can never change that. But you have to take it back, hold it, know what it is and feels and looks like. And you need to use it again. It's been so long since you used your power, it's been so long that OTHER people have told you what it is, you don't even remember how it works.
