1 week is a measurement of time. Time as we know is a means of measuring ... what exactly we're measuring is unsure, but since we all agree it has to be important.
It takes 1 week between making a minor change on your computer, and your son showing you he found it, despite not being allowed to touch the computer.
It takes 1 week between trauma and me falling apart.
It takes a week for the bloody cycle to renew, and everybody pretends to be fresh and ready for work.
Like a stuck record, screech, scratch, bump, screech, scratch, bump, screech, scratch, bump ....The bump being the weekend, of course. Like a great big reset button that the gods of commerce bang to re-kick-start their profit cycle.
And like everything from the gods, it's perfectly rational, and reasonable, until you implement it.
Rather take a great big fucking cavemans club, and go visit your nearet mcd's. It will be much better than a weekend.

You know, i once got kakked out for being unemotional over a death, was wifeys grandad who died of old age. Her mom thought i was heartless. Til i pointed out that i made the tea that her and her buddies were drinking while too teary to DO anything.
Somebody has to, i get that from my mom.
