Outlaw

"Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is."

- Clint Eastwood, "The Outlaw Josey Wales"

So true!

I actually like a quote from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

"If you're gonna shoot, shoot. Don't stand around and talk about it".

Pathetic how much of my life is modeled after Hollywood outlaws, isn't it?

Mmmm yes irondad, but all cowboys are rough diamonds, and all rough diamonds have a dark side ;-)

If i may suggest, get Robert M Pirsig's 2nd book, Lila. He starts off writing about the (US) Indians, and how the "cowboys" came to very closely resemble the natives.
I can't give the theory much credit here, but the conclusion is that the entire american "value system" has been inherited from those pioneers who best assimilated the indian way of life.

Seen from that perspective, the outlaw way of life, aside from having been glamorised, resonates very deeply in the american people.

peace and love irondad

PS, my fight right now is with the local constabulary ... so now i'm the outlaw, fighting for good against the evil forces of the local police. Strange times :D
