This one particular detail can literally transform our understanding of "pre-historic man", and explain so much in terms of architecture, shipping, and several other "scientific" mysteries of the time. A simple device, easily made, which is as important as the wheel, or even perhaps the humble ruler.

Very interesting article. I am so sick of being subjected to the mushroom treatment--being kept in the dark and fed shit.
Though that only serves to remind me that my education is under my control and expecting the institutions to tell me the truth is the naivete of a bygone age.
Wish I had a few hours/days/months/years to spend at my local library. The internet is probably 80% lies and misinformation, not counting porn.

It's just so easy to make something seem reasonable by having 95% truth and adding that one little lie which ends up pointing you horribly off course. I suppose there's not really any reason to expect the library will be any better except that the lies would be less cutting edge. The right book on Tesla's work could turn the whole world around, I feel.
