Standing on the hill at dawn, overseeing a team of 40 Kurdish diggers, the German-born archeologist waves a hand over his discovery here, a revolution in the story of human origins. Schmidt has uncovered a vast and beautiful temple complex, a structure so ancient that it may be the very first thing human beings ever built. The site isn't just old, it redefines old: the temple was built 11,500 years ago—a staggering 7,000 years before the Great Pyramid, and more than 6,000 years before Stonehenge first took shape. The ruins are so early that they predate villages, pottery, domesticated animals, and even agriculture—the first embers of civilization. In fact, Schmidt thinks the temple itself, built after the end of the last Ice Age by hunter-gatherers, became that ember—the spark that launched mankind toward farming, urban life, and all that followed.
Göbekli Tepe—the name in Turkish for "potbelly hill"—lays art and religion squarely at the start of that journey. After a dozen years of patient work, Schmidt has uncovered what he thinks is definitive proof that a huge ceremonial site flourished here, a "Rome of the Ice Age," as he puts it, where hunter-gatherers met to build a complex religious community. Across the hill, he has found carved and polished circles of stone, with terrazzo flooring and double benches. All the circles feature massive T-shaped pillars that evoke the monoliths of Easter Island.

This is an awesome find, one wonders how it escaped notice until now. I love that stone though, carved with a lizard on the front. It has to mean SOMETHING.
But an old story comes to mind, where strange new archeological digs will redefine our understandings of ancient times. Which is good. The problem is, i think, that "they" will be using those to plant certain bits of evidence, which then make us as a whole believe, untruths.
Either way, an insight into days gone by, when hunter gatherers needs to meet, compare inventions and stories, and probably get drunk.

What's worked for me is to not believe, just remember. Like you remembered the old story about these discoveries becoming important.
From what I know of their disinformation, it goes in all directions, but always away from the truth. So if you take one piece it's difficult to tell the difference, but if you take a lot of these from different locations, the truth all goes in one direction, and the lies are like frayings in a rope. That's the theory, anyway. Some of them also try to incite us against an enemy, when the only real enemy is within ourselves.
It's interesting the dating they applied to these ruins. 11,000 years is about the length of each pole shift/magnetic reversal cycle.
Yes, you see, every single piece of info has to be assimilated, compared, contrasted, examined, etc. Then every existing piece of info needs to be sent through the same process. All in the name of a coherent, cogent world view.

Sometimes is suspect that life works a similar way, andthat we are able to understand the universal workings, from seeing our minds in operation.
And yes, you can judge truth by how much it "frays" with the rest of what you know.
Problem is, the greater your world view is, the better you are able to assimilate new information. The downside of course is that stupid people are LESS capable of producing a coherent "structure".

11000 years is still nto older than the sphinx, believed to be about 14000 years ... ?
ALTHOUGH, caught a story recently about a 3600year cycle. One which is recorded in tree ring and ice data, by displaying severely stunted growth, and the last record was about 1600 bc.
Which makes it JUST ABOUT due ..

From the known underwater pyramids, it seems that the stuff on the Giza plateau survived at least the last pole flip. Since they're at that sacred geometry position of 19.5 degrees, it's possible that they always survive.
As for the people that prefer to stay asleep, I think after a certain point they'll be much more receptive to the things that the calm people around them have to say. The calm people during the times of great difficulty being the ones who did the legwork when everyone else was asleep. So I think the important thing will be that there are at least some people with some good answers when the time comes, which statistically can't really happen any way else.
I think it should also keep getting easier once the threshold stuff gets out, after the financial collapse. At the moment we know dick, and the only way to find our way is by intuition, but the more we can accept as truth, the less subvertible it should be.
All knowledge will become known ... something like that.
